After a full round of mid-week fixtures, the University of Pretoria remains top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, while Black Leopards moved off the bottom of the table.

Hungry Lions moved temporarily top on Tuesday as they beat Venda Football Academy 2-0. VFA reacted by appointing Simo Dladla as their new coach on Tuesday night.

There were also wins for Baroka, who beat Platinum City Rovers 2-1, and Polokwane City, who picked up a 1-0 victory in Tshwane over Pretoria Callies.

Unbeaten AmaTuks returned to the top, but only on goal difference, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Magesi.

The other unbeaten team, Uthongathi, also drew as they drew 1-1 at home with JDR Stars.

Black Leopards picked up a morale-boosting 1-0 win away at Tshakhuma to move off the bottom of the table. TTM missed a chance to go top, as a victory with Tuks’ draw, would’ve seen them go first.

Meanwhile, La Masia played to a 2-1 win over Casric Stars, while it ended goalless between All Stars and Cape Town Spurs at the Giant Stadium.
