Three teams, including log leaders AmaTuks, remain unbeaten after five rounds of matches in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The action began on Friday when AmaTuks won the Tshwane derby against JDR Stars 2-0. That result saw them move to 11 points after five games.

There were opportunities for other teams to overtake Tuks on the table, but the result went their way in every game.

Magesi held second-placed Tshakhuma to a 1-1 draw, to see them remain a point behind the leaders.

Meanwhile two other challengers All Stars and Uthongathi, who are also both still unbeaten, cancelled each other out with a goalless draw.

Venda Football Academy picked up a good 1-0 win in the Limpopo derby against Baroka, while Pretoria Callies got their first win of the season as they beat La Masia 2-1.

Casric Stars meanwhile chalked up a good 3-1 victory over Black Leopards.

On Sunday Polokwane City will be pleased with their 2-0 win over Hungry Lions, Puleng Marema and Francis Baloyi on the scoresheet to see Rise & Shine move up to third, ahead of Lions who were top prior to this round.

On Monday the final match of the round was played when Platinum City Rovers, in their first game since parting ways with Aschwin Sutton, picked up their first point of the season as they drew 1-1 with Cape Town Spurs at Olen Park.
