can sniff at the TNM Super League title in Malawi, but their coach Kalisto Pasuwa has called for caution.

The People’s Team are on a 21-game unbeaten run, having registered 17 wins and four draws to amass 55 points.

NOTHING GUARANTEED

However, the Zimbabwean mentor told Bullets website that they were not guaranteed anything in their remaining nine games.

The former Warriors mentor said this despite that the defending champions are 11 points clear of second-placed Kamuzu Barracks.

“I am one coach who believes in talking when [all] the games have been played,” he said.

Pasuwa was speaking ahead of Bullets’ TNM Super League match against Civil Service United at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.

FACING CIVIL SERVICE

He warned that playing Civil will not be a stroll on the park.

“I have seen Civil Service United playing and it’s a team that is improving by playing with shape. We can’t be talking about history because we have a team which has just been assembled.

“We have told the boys to anticipate another difficult game and we hope when we play on Sunday, it will be into their senses to say history was done by the guys who were there and it’s up to them now to make their own history.”

The gaffer also gave an update on how his charges have been preparing for the game which comes four days after defeating Red Lions 3-1 at the same venue.

“Some of the guys still have knocks namely John Lanjesi, Alick Lungu and Ernest Petro…We also have the likes of Precious Sambani and Frank Willard who will be assessed on Saturday,” Pasuwa said.

Bullets are chasing an unprecedented 16th league title and fourth on the bounce for the former Dynamos coach.

Pasuwa is on the cusp of history of winning the league title for eight consecutive times.

The Mutare-born coach also won four league titles in a row back home with Dynamos before trekking to Malawi.
