“He just wanted to advertise Mofaya” DJ Sbu receives backlash after visiting poor Vusi Thanda

After asking Mzansi to donate money to his bank account because he is now poor, troubled actor Vusi Thanda gained a visit from Dj Sbu. The Emzini Wezinsizwa actor begged for assistance in a viral video, and after some viewers donated money, the media personality decided to visit him in person. Some social media users asserted that DJ Sbu visited the older man for self-serving reasons and did so to promote his energy drink, Mofaya.

After Vusi Thanda pleaded for assistance on social media, DJ Sbu went to see him. In a popular video, the Emzini Wezinsizwa actor requested support from Mzansi for his rent payment. Following his online popularity, the businessman visited the illustrious actor. After the former The Queen star revealed that he is currently broke and owes his landlord more than R40,000, many South Africans opened their hearts and wallets.

After asking Mzansi for rent money, Vusi Thanda faced a lot of criticism, and South Africans claimed he was a horrible person for unknown reasons. Popular Twitter user @ChrisExcel posted pictures of DJ Sbu and the troubled actor on his timeline. Many people questioned Sbu’s motivations. Some criticized him, saying he went there to promote his energy drink, which is visible in the pictures.

Twitter users questioned whether Dj Sbu gave the actor Mofaya because, if so, it is evident that he was there to advertise his business and be seen. Most people doubt it and wonder if he genuinely had a pure heart when he did what he did. Others used the opportunity to emphasize how Vusi began making money before they were even born and questioned how he could be broke now. They view it all as a fraud and sham.

Another user, however, asserted that Dj Sbu would use the elderly actor to sell Mofaya on his behalf and even noted that he had failed to do the same for Zahara, which they believed to be embarrassing.

Actor Vusi Thanda of Emzini Wezinsizwa has spoken out about some criticism he faced after approaching Mzansi with a donation request. The seasoned actor revealed that some viewers of his video made rude comments.

In an interview, he said that some young people were ruthless after he asked for help. Vusi claimed that after sharing his experience on social media, he received more than R100 000, as he owed his landlord more than R45 000 in rent. Some people questioned where is the money from when he starred in a comedy show on Moja Love and appeared in an Assupol commercial. He criticized those who criticized him for seeking assistance from the public.
