Job Description:

Pepkor Speciality is seeking to employ energetic, passionate customer services oriented Receptionist for our Pepkor Speciality Head office.

Our ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills, build and maintain relationships and have a strong service orientation, in order to provide a professional, efficient and effective frontline service that enhances the image of the organization, through the competent execution of the reception and switchboard functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal with telephone calls, requests, and interruptions with the highest degree of efficiency and professionalism.
Ensure all employees adhere to all related protocols and business rules for entering and exiting the building
Announce visitors timeously and efficiently to the correct people and ensure all visitors are welcomed and updated on all relevant protocols
Sign for goods received and arrange delivery to the correct departments/individuals.
Assist with administration, reporting duties, and ordering of basic consumables and stationery.
Monitor access to the building
Manage all boardrooms to ensure they are set up for meetings, catering arrangements if required
Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the general public.
Responsible for the neatness of the reception area.

Qualifications:

A Secretarial Diploma, Matric or an equivalent qualification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

A minimum of three year’s relevant experience gained in the managing and operating of a busy switchboard
Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English, and ability to converse in a second official language would be an advantage.
Proficiency in the latest Google Suite packages or Microsoft packages essential
Essential to have your own vehicle to travel to work due to operational requirements of opening and closing the office building.
Must be able to present themselves and the company in a professional manner.
A strong service orientation and excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with pleasant and friendly demeanor.
Discreet when handling confidential information.
Communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company.
Remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
Excellent time management, planning and organizing skills.
Self-motivated, take responsibility and have a sense of pride in their work.
Be accurate, attention to detail and be reliable in meeting set deadlines. Apply Now
