Banyana Star Makes History In Mexico

Banyana Banyana star Jermaine Seoposenwe made history in Mexico after scoring the fastest goal in the history books of Liga MX Femenil.

Seoposenwe joined FC Juarez last month and has had a great start to live in Mexico. On Monday night, she netted a brace in their 3-0 win over Necaxa.

Seoposenwe scored her first goal just nine seconds into the game, which goes into the history books of Liga MX Femenil as the fastest ever goal scored.

The 28-year-old was on fire as she completed her brace in the 53rd minute to seal the game and take all maximum points. This was a crucial win as her side moved up to 11th place on the log standings.

Seoposenwe’s performance didn’t go unnoticed as she was rewarded as the “Woman Of The Match”. The Banyana Banyana star looks to have settled well as she has now scored three goals in the league already.

The Women’s African Cup Of Nations winner continued to make history as her brace completed the 400 league goals for Juarez in Liga MX Femenil.

Juarez’s task of finishing in the playoffs position will continue in five days when they will face Pachuca FC away from home. This won’t be easy as Juarez has never beaten Pachuca in the last five years. Without any doubt, the Cape Town-born Seoposenwe will be one of the players to watch.
