Set to premiere this coming Sunday, 18 October 2026, at 18:00 on DStv Channel 161, the new series promises viewers a high-stakes, highly entertaining quest for romance.

The format: A literal elevator pitch for romance

Hosted by media personality Pamela Mtanga, Elevator Love puts a clever spin on modern matchmaking. The concept centres on romantic hopefuls who must pitch themselves and impress potential partners using a literal elevator pitch.

The show introduces a unique dynamic in which singles seek meaningful connections not just through standard dates, but with the active guidance and input of their closest friends and most cherished loved ones.

With first impressions riding entirely on brief, high-pressure encounters inside the elevator, participants have to bring their absolute best game to win over both the daters and their inner circles.

Cementing Mzansi Magic’s reality TV dominance

Mzansi Magic continues to be the ultimate home for local unscripted television, housing fan-favourites like Date My Family, Married at First Sight Mzansi, and S’jola Sonke.

By introducing Elevator Love, the channel leans further into creative formatting that captures the awkward, funny, and deeply relatable realities of modern dating in South Africa.

As audiences tune in this Sunday, the big question remains: can a split-second elevator pitch genuinely lead to a happily ever after? Grab your popcorn, because Mzansi’s newest dating obsession is officially ready to roll.
