The Blood and Water actress served as a guest speaker at The Last Dance ‘Matric Dance’ 2026 on Monday, 12 October 2026, an event hosted annually by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President Julius Malema for disadvantaged communities and schools.

Natasha Thahane wishes matriculants well

In an Instagram post shared on 13 October 2026, the star shared snippets of her visit, where she shared words of wisdom on stage and mingled with the excited matriculants.

“All the best, Class of 2026!” she exclaimed in her caption. “May God grant you wisdom, understanding, and the confidence to give it your all.”

Many learners nationwide began their 2026 National Senior Certificate (NSC) final matric examinations on Tuesday, 13 October 2026.

Natasha then quoted a Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, and continued, dedicating her post to the youngsters.

“To every learner who has lost a parent or a loved one along the way, may their love and prayers carry you. Make yourselves proud. Heaven is cheering you on.”

According to the EFF, the event hosts learners from the party leader’s former high school, Mohlakaneng High School, as part of his many initiatives to give back to his community and celebrate with purpose.

Several students, dressed in school attire, gathered at Mahlodi Hall, a large-scale venue in Polokwane, with the political party emphasising that the children returned safely to their schools after the festivities.

“To every matriculant, this is your moment to dream big, work hard, and shine bright. We believe in you. All the best for your exams,” the EFF shared in an Instagram post.
