Royal AM and Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their starting line-ups for today’s Macufe Cup in Bloemfontein.

The Macufe Cup returns for the first time in three years, and will see Royal AM make their debut, after they bought Bloemfontein Celtic’s status two years ago.

Celtic were the last winners of this traditional friendly competition that is part of the annual Macufe Festival in Bloemfontein. While it was usually played on the last day of the festival, this time around it is being played a week before.

“We need the game because we want to improve on certain aspects of our game. We want to get our chemistry right and also give some other players a chance to play because we want to keep everyone at the same level of fitness,” Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane told the club’s website ahead of the game.

“We need to use the match get to try combinations and get them right for the games coming up in October because we will play seven official matches.

“We look forward to seeing Amakhosi supporters in Mangaung and the Free State because it has been long since we played there.”

Here’s how they line-up:

Royal AM XI: Ngcobo, Sikakane, Mabuza, Lingwati, Roberts, Shezi, Ndlovu, Nyarko, Potsane, Dlamini, Nurkovic

Kaizer Chiefs XI: Petersen, Frosler, Dove, Ngezana, Mathoho, Alexander, Nange, Ngcobo, Mashiane, Dolly, Duba
