Motsepe Foundation Championship side Uthongathi Football Club has parted ways with Simo Dladla after four games in charge.

Dladla was appointed at the beginning of the current season alongside former Bafana Bafana midfielder Macbeth Sibaya. He was previously at Swallows, as the assistant coach of Brandon Truter last season. However, he left the club following the appointment of Dylan Kerr.

The news of Dladla being fired came as a shock as “The Cane Cutters” is yet to lose a game after four games and collected eight points.

Dladla leaves the KwaZulu Natal-based side sitting fourth on the Motsepe Foundation Championship league table. It is believed that 5-0 defeat against AmaZulu FC in the recent friendly match has triggered what could be the long waiting axe.

It is unclear yet who will take charge of the club as they will be facing high-flying All Stars FC in their upcoming fixture. This has been a close fixture in the past with Stars winning one game same with Uthongathi.

He becomes the latest coaching change in the second tier after Michael Loftman resigned from his head coach role at Venda Football Academy earlier this week.
