Alex and Funani infuriated by DTI’s decision

However, nobody expected the DTI’s decision to be so unexpected, and the faces of Alex and Funani would turn sour.

In the previous episode, the tension was high, with both Funani and Alex pitching for the DTI. Alex pitched the idea of evolving fashion and a phoenix rising from the ashes. His pitch was inspired by the past drama between him and Funani. Funani’s pitch was about the black person defying all odds and walking towards victory. After the slopes, Alex sneered at Funani about talking about the black narrative when wearing an R 12 000 suit. Both designers were heating up and said pretty insulting things to one another.

Sandile has big ambitions of being a prominent fashion designer. His coming in second in the House Of Zwide competition made him upset. He had to find a job as a waiter, and life hasn’t been easy. When Zanele offered to speak to Laz and Funani for him, Sandile didn’t hesitate as this was his dream. He always wanted to work for a big design house like House Of Zwide to grow his skills. The factors leading to Ona not accepting are deep and emotional, and Sandile feels terrible for going behind her back. At the same time, he refuses to give up on his dreams. Sandile and Ona once had a romantic relationship, and they became close friends when it didn’t work out.
