Minister Ntshavheni Says Constitution Must Prioritise South Africans

Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says the Constitution must prioritise South Africans, and that citizens have the right to demand amendments if it fails to protect them and the country’s sovereignty.

Her comments come after the Constitutional Court’s July ruling that removed certain procedural barriers to asylum applications, sparking confusion and renewed tensions over immigration and the management of the country’s asylum system.
