8 Stores strong

A few fans took to X and congratulated the Era founder. Fans acknowledged the significance of the 8-store count, and an X user wished her many more.

An online user admired what Zinhle has built in her celebratory message, acknowledging how proper the business has become outside of the DJ’s celebrity.

DJ Zinhle really took Era back home to Newcastle yesterday, and the reception was actually beautiful. That woman has built a proper business beyond just being a celebrity. I like seeing celebrities turn their names into actual businesses instead of relying on fame forever.

Enny, a creator on X, even suggested Mamkhize’s latest video is in celebration of Zinhle’s milestone.

 The Newcastle store

The grand opening was on 2 October 2026, when she personally welcomed her fans to the opening. She unveiled the store with a pink-and-gold interior that showcased her unique accessory designs. Born Ntombezinhle Jiyane Mohosana, the hitmaker took the brand back home, having grown up in a small city near Newcastle, KZN.

“Here’s to the Bestiehood. Here’s to growing together. Here’s to the next Era,” she wrote in her caption, expressing the joy she felt in opening the new store.

The beginning of an era

Era by DJ Zinhle was founded in 2012 and has grown into a brand that goes beyond the brand of DJ Zinhle. From selling watches, tying into the brand’s mission that “nothing is more precious than time,” the brand grew into a broader space that now sells accessories from hats to fragrances and even luggage bags.
