Sibiya Back In Randburg Magistrate’s Court As Bail Hearing Resumes
The bail hearing of suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya resumes today, Wednesday at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, where the State is opposing his release after recordings were played in which he allegedly told the father of a 16-year-old girl he could “deal with him very quickly and easily.”
Sibiya, who remains in custody at Kgosi Mampuru II, faces charges including r*pe, human trafficking and s*xual grooming; he denies the allegations, while the prosecution says it will continue pressing for his detention.
