Bafana Bafana’s final four fixtures to qualify for AFCON 2027

South Africa’s AFCON 2027 kicked off with the beating Guinea 2-1 before producing a dominant 5-0 victory over Eritrea. Bafana Bafana now have four qualifying fixtures remaining.

The next two matches will come against Kenya, before Bafana Bafana travel to face Guinea and then host Eritrea in their final group fixture.

BAFANA BAFANA’S FINAL FOUR FIXTURES

Matchday 3: South Africa vs Kenya. Window: 9–17 November 2026. Venue: To be confirmed

Bafana Bafana will return to qualifying action in November when they host Kenya. The two nations will meet again during the same international window, with South Africa then travelling to Kenya for the reverse fixture.

Matchday 4: Kenya vs South Africa. Window: 9–17 November 2026. Venue: To be confirmed. The away fixture against Kenya will complete Bafana Bafana’s November double-header.

The two matches could prove important in determining the Group D standings as South Africa look to secure their place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

FINAL TWO AFCON 2027 QUALIFIERS

Matchday 5: Guinea vs South Africa. Window: 22–30 March 2027. Venue: To be confirmed. Bafana Bafana will travel to face Guinea during the March 2027 international window.

It will be the second meeting between the two sides after South Africa opened their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory.

Matchday 6: South Africa vs Eritrea. Window: 22–30 March 2027. Venue: To be confirmed. Bafana Bafana will finish their AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign at home against Eritrea.

The reverse fixture ended in a 5-0 victory for South Africa in Cairo, with Relebohile Mofokeng scoring twice. With four fixtures still to play, Bafana Bafana know exactly what stands between them and a place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

To qualify for the tournament in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in June 2027, South Africa need to finish first or second if Kenya win the group.
