A toothless Richards Bay side missed a chance to move back to the second spot of the DStv Premiership table, after a goalless draw against TS Galaxy
The KwaZulu-Natal side produced a lacklustre display against TS Galaxy to see the match end in a goalless draw at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday evening.
It was a game that was devoid of creativity with neither keepers being tested, and it was not surprising when no goal was scored.
Luvuyo Memela, who was the match winner for Bay against provincial rivals Royal AM in the club’s previous game, tried to move side to side to find a room, but it never worked for the man who was turning 35 on Sunday.
Bay knew that a win over Galaxy was going to take them second, two points ahead of Orlando Pirates and three behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who extended their top spot lead after beating AmaZulu earlier today. But it wasn’t to be.
They are now tied with second-placed Pirates on 14 points after eight matches played.
For Bay, they were looking to get their third win on the trot after beating Stellenbosch and Royal AM away respectively. But it wasn’t to be.
For Galaxy, failing to get a win here, they are now without a win in five matches, stretching back to a 2-0 victory over SuperSport United in August. A draw here also did not help to move up the table. They remain 11th on the table with 10 points after eight matches.
In this week’s edition of iDiski Times, you can hear from Mamelodi Sundowns star, Khuliso Mudau, who talks about the demands players must face at the Brazilians, and their hope to defend all of their trophies. We also talk to AmaZulu forward Gabadinho Mhango who discusses his Pirates exit, his move to KZN and more. Read the full edition of iDiski Times below:
