Tebogo Thobejane is entering a new chapter with Beyond the Glow, a podcast centred on healing, motherhood, loss, betrayal, money, trauma and the challenges of starting over.
The actress, entrepreneur and media personality has described it as a space for honest conversations that go beyond the polished image often associated with celebrity life.

From Muvhango to a new platform
As reported by Daily Sun, Thobejane, who grew up in Soweto, became widely known for her role on SABC2’s Muvhango. She has also appeared in DiepCity and pursued ventures in production, entrepreneurship and media.
With Beyond the Glow, she is shifting the focus from entertainment headlines to personal experiences and stories of resilience.
The podcast is expected to feature both public figures and women from everyday life who have faced difficult circumstances and are rebuilding their lives.
A story shaped by adversity
Thobejane’s journey has included significant personal and public challenges. In October 2023, she was targeted in a shooting in Johannesburg and sustained an injury to her foot. Her friend Anele Alicia Malinga was also seriously injured.

Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala, Thobejane’s former partner, is currently on trial alongside four co-accused in connection with several alleged shootings, including the October 2023 attack. All five accused have pleaded not guilty. The allegations remain before the court.
Beyond celebrity gossip
Beyond the Glow aims to create conversations around issues many women experience privately, including grief, financial difficulties, relationships, healing and reinvention.
As reported by Briefly News, the podcast represents an opportunity for Thobejane to tell her story in her own words while creating space for other women to share theirs.
Its central message is that difficult experiences do not have to define a person’s future — and that starting again can be part of the journey.
