Meet Tamia Lindokuhle Hlatshwayo from Katlehong, she is a Miss Glam South Africa semi finalist and is currently running a sanitary drive for little girl arise organisation which she plans to donate to a home called House of Paradise.

The beauty pageant is also a member and brand ambassador of Build Yourself Up (BYU) a GBV  organisation that fight for justice and help those who are in need.

According to Hlatshwayo, the aim of the organisation is to empower and equip communities into taking initiative in building and shaping their lives.

“We want to help restore and bring hope to all victims, the organisation was started by Nonkululeko Mbongo who is a friend of mine,” she said.

“Being in the beauty pageant means a lot to me because I’ve always believed I’m crowned, true beauty is being yourself! True beauty is having confidence and I want to inspire all the young females that they  are beautiful they should always know that they have what it takes to achieve their dreams.”

Most pageant require females with a “perfect” body some even lose themselves because of the stereotype but what I love about Miss Glam South Africa it’s a beauty pageant that focuses on true beauty, entrepreneurship and it focuses on equiping and building young females, it’s builds self confidence for those who have lost it, it’s sisterhood pageant! I’m running a sanitary drive aswell to give back to the community and I’d really appreciate your love and support
