Polokwane City co-coach Papi Zothwane has confirmed that he will not look to rotate his squad despite the packed schedule.

The Rise and Shine will take on All Stars at Bidvest Stadium on Friday, 16 September within the space of two days after their 1-0 win over arch-rivals Venda Football Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

City are currently placed on the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table with seven points, leveled on points with second-placed Uthongathi FC.

When asked whether he planned to rotate, Zothwane told the journalists in Polokwane that: “It’s too early in the season where we can be making rotations.”

“At this moment, we just want to keep consistency from the players that have started the season.”

The co-coach insists that he will keep the same squad going into Friday’s game as the players will have time to rest after that match with the FIFA Calendar coming up.

‘Ginger’, as he is popularly known within football cycles maintained his graduate for his side’s all-round performance once more again:

“I’m happy with the performance from the players. Whatever that we try to instil and practice within the team is slowly producing fruitful results,” he added.

Following their 3-0 win over Black Leopards this past Saturday, Zothwane had admitted that they have a mammoth task ahead as they aim to bring back the Limpopo club to the DStv Premiership.

“We become so grateful to see fans come support us. Remember this team was in the PSL so our task is very heavy because our supporters want to see this team come back to the PSL.

“Therefore, the technical team and the players are working extremely hard to make them happy,” said the ex-Uthongathi co-coach.
