Manhunt Underway After Businessman and Former SABC Sports Presenter Was Abducted Outside Katlehong Church
Police have launched a massive manhunt following the brazen kidnapping of former SABC Sports Presenter and Businessman Owen Ndlovu, who was abducted by armed men outside a local church in Katlehong in Gauteng.
According to police reports, Ndlovu had arrived at the church premises to pick up his wife when the incident occurred. As the couple was about to leave, three armed men suddenly confronted them.
The suspects violently pushed Ndlovu’s wife aside before forcing him into the backseat of his own vehicle, a Ford Raptor, and fleeing the scene.
A swift response by law enforcement and security networks led to the recovery of the Ford Raptor, which was found abandoned a short distance away.
However, there was no sign of Ndlovu or his captors.
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhulwuli confirmed that a case of kidnapping and hijacking is under investigation.
“We are appealing to anyone with information that could lead to the safe return of Ndlovu and the arrest of the suspects to come forward,” the police stated.
The motive for the abduction remains unknown at this stage, and no ransom demands have been publicly reported.
