Marumo Gallants midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has reacted to his Man Of The Match performance against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

Ndlondo assisted Mahlatsi Makhudubela early goal and controlled the midfield in his standout individual display.

However despite his individual laurels he felt disappointed his team let their lead slip and missed out on the first three points of the season.

“The game was a tough one, to us it was a motivation on its own because we had a good game with guys but towards the end we let it go, we conceded that goal. Unfortunately we have to get one point, [we were] so close to get the first win of the league,” Ndlondlo told SuperSport TV.

Gallants received a red card in the 66th minute after the Ivorian international Ismail Toure was shown a second yellow card, which resulted in his team having to finish the game with 10 men.

“It changed a lot of things but to us as the guys we had to double our efforts so that we can be able to fill up the space for the guy that got the red card,” he explained.

“But overall we did well with the guys, we fought and congratulations to the team we did well. I think we didn’t have that fear because we playing against the biggest team in the country so that fear on us guys wasn’t there.

“We needed to push each other so that we can be able to play the game not the occasion, so that’s what we did and we gave our all. It was unfortunately for us not to get the three points, but unlucky we will take the point.”
