There are many reasons why we look and feel tired. Life can throw a million curveballs at once. As the famous saying goes: “Do not look like your problems.” Every woman deserves time for themselves, even if it means putting on some makeup in five minutes to start the day.

Not every makeup look has to be red-carpet ready; simply enhancing your most beautiful features can get the point across.

The skin

A dedicated skincare routine can be one of the most significant steps to a quick, simple makeup look that still looks good. Having a good morning routine where you cleanse, moisturise, and protect your skin helps reduce whatever skin issues you may have. As long as you use targeted skincare products. For example, if you have acne-prone skin, it’s best you use products targeted to reducing breakouts.

These products can be recommended by dermatologists in extreme cases.

The base

A good skincare routine usually means reducing the need for full-coverage makeup. In this case, foundation is no longer necessary, depending on what you are trying to achieve with your makeup look.

Primer can help smooth texture, and a good skin tint can give the illusion of an even skin tone, bringing warmth and colour back to the skin.

Concealer

You can also use concealer for various reasons, to hide very pigmented blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and even brightening certain spots on your face. This doesn’t need to be a whole step with brushes, sponges, and setting sprays. You can dab a little on your ‘problem’ areas and blend out with your fingertips.

Blush

Now for the fun.

Blush can be a girl’s best friend and the quickest way to add a little colour, style and whimsy to your make-up look. The base mainly focuses on making your skin look good and brings back focus to your natural features. However, a quick brush of blush adds a stylish element. The pink, orange, and purple colours add a modest touch of whimsy to your simple make-up look.

Finishing steps

The last two steps are quick and simple. A lip combo, with your lip liner and lipstick of your choice, and some mascara will finish off the make-up routine.

Now you look ready to conquer the day in just under five minutes.
