WATCH 🚨 MALEMA CALLS FOR R4,500 OLD-AGE GRANT
EFF leader Julius Malema has called for South Africa’s old-age grant to be increased to R4,500 a month, arguing that pensioners, particularly grandmothers, remain the backbone of many black families.
Malema says the government can afford a higher grant if public money is properly managed and corruption and wasteful expenditure are tackled.
He argued that many pensioners are using their grants to support entire households, including children and unemployed family members.
“Our grandmothers are the backbone of our families.”
