Ursula Mariani, a beloved podcaster and lecturer, captivated the hearts of many when she picked some lemons from her family homestead and whipped up a refreshing lemonade.

URSULA MARIANI MAKES FRESH HOMEMADE LEMONADE

The Instagram reel opens with Ursula walking towards a lemon tree at her childhood farmhouse. She starts picking lemons while carefully navigating the thorns before calling out to her father, “Dad, why is this tree stabbing me? Dad, what kind of lemon tree has thorns? This was a terrible experience, Daddy. Where were you the whole time?”

In the second part of the video, Ursula is now in the kitchen, draped in an apron and squeezing fresh lemon juice. Soon after, a young lady steps in to help, and together they finally complete the task.

This process involves sifting the lemon juice, patiently boiling it in a pot with water, and then pouring it into glasses to serve her family.

Ursula shared an interesting tidbit about her childhood in the farmhouse, which they moved to when she was only 8 years old. She joked that she is “the most useless farm girl there is” despite all the agricultural surroundings.

“Fun fact: Our family moved to this farm when I was 8 years old. Over two decades later, and I’m still the most useless farm girl there is,” she began.

“Which is actually quite embarrassing considering I come from a long lineage of agricultural workers. My paternal grandparents literally met and fell in love while working on a farm — so everyone on my dad’s side has green fingers,” she added.

“Me? I didn’t even get a green pinky. My houseplants die and resurrect on a weekly basis. Nonetheless, this farm is still my go-to when I need to take refuge from life. And we made lemonade. That’s the point,” she wrote.

Coaching_by_Goiste: All lemon trees have thorns. you just reminded me. We had quite a few growing up.

Justtayy021: Ma’am, I’m sure I spotted a juicer on the counter ? I’m lowkey impressed that you’re committed to the Onezwa-style approach. Also. I loved that you complained the entire time but got it done. That’s me. Oh I will moan but it will be done.

Stshe_2Kgwi: Ncooo being a daddy’s girl is the best feeling guys.

Chuma_Jola: I was also shocked that lemon trees have thorns. I moved into a house with a lemon tree, and I was so delighted. When I saw our first lemon, I went to pick it! The shock I felt when I got pricked. I respect the tree now. This was wonderful to watch; thank you for sharing.
