TS Galaxy have beefed up their squad by signing Ivory Coast striker Djakaridja ‘Junior’ Traore, iDiski Times can confirm.
Traore, who previously played for Hassania in Morocco and SK Rakovniak in the Czech Republic, will become the fifth signing of Galaxy after the acquisition of Xola Mlambo, Bernard Parker, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Keletso Makgalwa.
Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi told iDiski Times they have secured the 24-year-old striker and are awaiting his work permit to be issued.
“He is a typical number 9, who brings a different element from what we have,” said Sukazi.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy chairman also praised his coach Sead Ramovic’s work ethics, insisting the club’s success is built their strength in defence..
Galaxy are the only club yet to concede a goal this term and also beat Mamelodi Sundowns for the first time in the club’s history.
The Rockets have collected nine points after five matches and impressively are yet to concede, leading Sukazi to highlight the coach’s work which led to him to trigger Ramovic’s contract to be extended until 2024.
“Since the beginning of the year, we have been very stingy in our goal,” said Sukazi.
“And the truth is we escaped relegation last season not because we scored many goals but simply because we prevented goals from coming in. So if you look at it now in the entire year, the calendar year, you can say that we have been consistent and that element still sticks out.
“Because had we prepared differently or had we dropped certain balls during our pre-season, maybe things could have been different. But no, we are continuing where we left off and if you have checked the kind of opposition we have played, none of them is a pushover.
“You talk of Sundowns, SuperSport United, AmaZulu and you are talking about games every two days. Against those clubs you are likely to concede whether you like it or not.”
After five matches last term, Galaxy had just two points, and a 4-2 thumping loss at the hands of Royal AM in September last year led to the sacking of Owen da Gama.
They were rooted at the bottom at that time when the former Bafana assistant coach was sacked, in what was the club’s first season in the top flight after Sukazi had purchased the status of Highlands Park. The club then appointed unknown Ramovic, who went on to save the club and survived the relegation.
