The discussion unfolded after Naqueeda, a guest on the podcast, shared stories about encounters she had experienced while out at clubs. Her account included an interaction involving fellow podcast personality Thakgi, as well as a conversation with Sol that left her unimpressed.

Naqueeda recalls uncomfortable club encounter

During the episode, which focused on dating and relationships, Naqueeda opened up about some of her experiences in nightlife settings.

She recalled an encounter where Thakgi allegedly stared at her throughout the night, making her uncomfortable enough that she eventually approached him and greeted him.

She also spoke about an interaction with Sol, who complimented her beauty.

However, Naqueeda appeared to brush off the compliment, with the exchange becoming a talking point among viewers following the episode.

Sol Phenduka responds

Sol later took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to address the conversation and clarify his intentions.

According to Sol, his compliment was simply an act of kindness and was not meant to suggest that he was romantically interested in Naqueeda.

The podcast host made his feelings clear, adding that she was “not even my type.”

His response quickly drew attention online, with social media users debating whether his interaction with Naqueeda had been unfairly portrayed.

Social media users divided

Fans have since shared differing opinions about the exchange.

Some users defended Sol, arguing that complimenting someone’s appearance does not necessarily carry romantic intentions and that his interaction appeared to be harmless.

Others, however, sympathised with Naqueeda and argued that she was entitled to describe how the interaction made her feel, even if Sol’s intentions were not romantic.

The debate has highlighted how differently the same interaction can be perceived by the people involved.

The episode sparks conversation

The episode, which centres on dating, relationships and experiences in the modern dating scene, has continued to generate reactions online.

With conversations around boundaries, flirting and interactions between men and women often sparking debate on social media, Naqueeda’s stories have given viewers plenty to discuss.

The episode is currently streaming on YouTube, with viewers continuing to weigh in on the conversation and Sol’s response.

For now, the online debate remains divided between those who believe Sol’s comment was simply friendly and those who feel Naqueeda’s perspective should not be dismissed.
