New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Abdelmounaim Boutouil has arrived in South Africa ahead of his official unveiling with the DStv Premiership champions.

The Morocco defender, 24, signed a three-year contract with a two-year option to extend in a transfer worth around R7-million from Botola Pro side SCC Mohammédia, as reported by iDiski Times last month.

However, his move was delayed due to visa complications in a highly anticipated transfer as the first Botola Pro player to make a switch to the South African top-flight.

The 24-year-old who won the 2020 African Nation Championship (CHAN) with Morocco arrived at the club on Tuesday and had a light gym session and his routine medical check.

Boutouil is now expected to be unveiled by the club alongside Chile international Marcelo Allende as the final two foreign registrations, while Pavol Safranko looks set to be sacrificed.
