SACP General Secretary, Solly Mapaila says there is a food crisis in the country.
He made the remarks during a lecture to honour journalist and SACP leader, Ruth First.
Mapaila says the needs of business cannot be placed above the interests of the general public.
He said, “the working class can barely survive.”
“children die of malnutrition ….we cannot have a country where people die of hunger while others die of overeating…food crisis needs to be dealt with.”
