The two-time Grammy-winning pop star is continuously building one of the fastest global rises in contemporary music, and with the recent second studio album, A*POP, she seems to be hitting the right marks.

Released on Friday, 24 July 2026, through Epic Records, A*POP follows a carefully orchestrated global promotion campaign that has included invitation-only listening parties in New York, a headline performance in the morning on NBC’s Today Show Citi Concert Series, and a digital-first marketing strategy designed to sustain Tyla’s remarkable streaming momentum while expanding her international audience.

Speaking after her performance, Tyla said, “I feel amazing. The crowd is a vibe; I can’t wait to check the posts and see what people think.”

The performances continue

Tyla’s album rollout reflects a broader shift in the music industry, where artists increasingly build businesses around streaming, live performances, fashion, licensing and brand partnerships rather than relying solely on album sales.

Her new album is a turning point for how pop music should sound, and her success is the success of Africa. On top of the NBC Today Show Citi Concert Series, Tyla performed at the WNBA Halftime Show, delivering an exhilarating performance.
