ProVerb has been on Idols South Africa for over a decade and is slowly becoming one of Mzansi’s most exemplary television hosts. Due to his fame in the entertainment industry, many questions about his educational qualifications have been asked. A look at ProVerb’s academic qualifications
Tebogo Sidney Thapelo Thekisho, famously known as ProVerb, was born in Kimberley Northern Cape. He grew up in a family where his parents believed education was the key to success and ensured their children had the best education. ProVerb’s mother was a medical doctor, and his father was also highly educated, but his qualifications have not been revealed.
Idols SA host did his primary and secondary school at local schools in Kimberly Northern Cape.
He passed his matric with good grades and registered for tertiary education, graduating with a diploma in sound engineering.
After graduating with his certificate in engineering, ProVerb secured a job at Fresh Breakfast Show’ on YFM as a technical producer. He worked at YFM for a few years and later joined Metro FM as a technical and content producer. ProVerb impressed the showrunners of Metro FM, and he was offered to host his show, The Pro-File.
While working for Metro FM, he bagged another hosting gig on Idols SA in 2010; this was his biggest hosting gig, and he co-hosted with Liezel van DER Westhuizen. He became the show’s sole host a year later and remained associated with the reality show.
As ProVerb’s career as a television host was at its peak, he decided to stretch his hands into being a businessman. He then pursued a BA in Fashion Design and Business Management to acquire more business skills. As of late, ProVerb runs a thriving business empire with more than three companies under his name.
Besides being a television host, ProVerb is also a rapper. One of the most notable achievements for the rapper and TV host is winning the South African Hip Hop Awards in 2015 as Best Hustler Of The Year.
