South African pop sensation Tyla is celebrating a major career milestone after officially getting her very own Bratz Celebrity Collector doll. The exciting achievement makes her theĀ first African to have a Bratz doll, adding another impressive moment to her rapidly growing global career.

The milestone comes at an especially exciting time for the Grammy-winning singer, who is preparing to release her highly anticipated sophomore album,Ā APOP, on 24 July 2026. On the same day, fans will also get their first look at the Bratz x Tyla doll during its public debut in New York.

Tyla’s latest achievement is also a full-circle moment for the star. Two years ago, she shared her dream of one day having her own Bratz doll with her fans. Now, that dream has officially become a reality as she continues to make history on the global stage.

The Bratz x Tyla doll will make its first public appearance on 24 July 2026 at a Bratz pop-up shop inside FAO Schwarz on Rockefeller Plaza in New York. Interestingly, the launch will take place on the same day Tyla releasesĀ A*POP, making it a double celebration for the global star.

Fans attending the launch will also have an extra reason to celebrate. The first 100 people to purchase the doll in person will receive the chance to meet Tyla and have their dolls signed during a special meet-and-greet.

For collectors who cannot travel to New York, there is still a chance to get their hands on the limited-edition doll. It will be available for general sale onĀ Bratz.comĀ from 27 July at 8am PT, which is 5pm South African time, for $75, approximately R1 229. Wider retail availability is expected to follow. However, at the time of writing, there has been no confirmation on whether the doll will be sold in South Africa.

TYLA’S BRATZ DREAM FINALLY BECOMES A REALITY

The exciting announcement is especially meaningful because it fulfils a dream Tyla shared with fans two years ago.

Back in 2024, after spotting a Bratz doll she loved, the Grammy-winning singer posted on X: ā€œImma have my own Tyla doll one day. This cute affff.ā€

Now, that dream has officially become a reality.

The collectible doll celebrates two of Tyla’s most iconic fashion moments. One look recreates her unforgettable ā€œSands of Timeā€ appearance at the 2024 Met Gala, featuring a sculptural strapless gown designed to resemble cascading sand, along with a miniature hourglass purse.

The doll also comes with a second outfit inspired by Tyla’s high-energy stage performances. The look includes a tie-front crop top, a shimmering sequin skirt and a gold chain belt finished with a signature Bratz charm.

Tyla also shared her excitement on Instagram, reflecting on how a dream she once tweeted about has now become reality.

ā€œI finally got my own doll. Everyone who is an OG remembers when I tweeted that one day I’m going to have my own doll. I got my Bratz doll limited edition. I’m the first African to have a Bratz doll.ā€

LIQUIDEEP CELEBRATES ā€œFAIRYTALEā€ COLLABORATION

Meanwhile, Tyla is also celebrating an exciting musical collaboration with South African house music duo Liquideep.

The legendary duo, made up of Ziyon and Ryzor, features on Tyla’s highly anticipated sophomore album,Ā A*POP, which is set to be released on 24 July 2026. For the collaboration, Tyla has reimagined Liquideep’s iconic hit song, ā€œFairytale,ā€ bringing a fresh interpretation of the beloved track to her new project.

Originally released in 2009, ā€œFairytaleā€ quickly became an instant house anthem and remains one of South Africa’s most cherished songs. Nearly two decades later, fans still know and sing along to the track, making Tyla’s decision to reimagine the song a special moment for the duo and their loyal supporters.

SHAKIRA AND TYLA LIGHT UP THE STAGE

In addition, Tyla recently gave fans another unforgettable moment when she joined global music icon Shakira on stage during herĀ Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

The exciting moment happened on Monday, July 20, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Tyla stepped onto the stage to perform Shakira’s global hit, ā€œHips Don’t Lie.ā€

Tyla confidently moved alongside Shakira while dancers performed behind them, creating a spectacular moment that had fans talking online.

Shakira later thanked Tyla for joining her on stage. She wrote, ā€œ@tyla, you are amazing!!! Thank you for joining me on stage last night!!! Iconic!!! Let’s do it again!!!ā€

From making history with her first Bratz doll to reimagining a South African classic with Liquideep and sharing the stage with Shakira, Tyla continues to show why she is one of Africa’s biggest global stars.
