Enhle Mbali discusses her admission to a mental health facility after her marriage to Black Coffee ended.
During an interview with Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka on Kaya 959, the actress explains why she needed to care for her mental health.
In the interview, Enhle stated that she has now overcome her health issues, which is why she can confidently discuss it; however, she was triggered by a few things.
“I was mourning all the work I had put out, all the fight I had put in, all the work to make something work and it didn’t, and that is a death,” she said.
“It is the same thing as mourning a death. I walked myself into a mental health institution and I remember my psychologist saying, ‘you are seven years late but you made it’, and from that day healing began”.
The DJ and actress announced their divorce in 2019, but the divorce process was messy and made headlines several times.
However, the two are now on good terms and properly co-parenting.
