Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Sibusiso Mabiliso has spoken for the first time since his exit from the Glamour Boys.

Mabiliso, 23, was released by Chiefs this week, becoming the club’s latest exit following a massive squad overhaul this window.

The left-back now took to social media to thank his former club, fans as well as his representative Basia Michaels.

“I just want to thank Kaizer Chiefs for giving me the opportunity to be part of this amazing club. I’m so grateful for all the experiences and teachings,” he said via a statement on social media.

“To my manager, Basia Michaels thank you for always listening to me, supporting me, and encouraging me. You are a true manager, I love and appreciate you. You’re the best!

“To my teammates and all wonderful supporters that showed me a lot of love, I wanna say I love y’all. You made me feel so welcome and embraced me with open arms.

“I wish you all the best in the future going forward. Much love and gratitude. I’m looking forward to what’s next in my career and all new challenges I’ll face.”

The 23-year-old joined Chiefs from AmaZulu ahead of the 2021/22 campaign but only made six appearances for the Glamour Boys before being released.
