Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba says she’s unhappy about reports of a critically ill woman being denied access to a clinic.

A woman was allegedly forced to wait outside the Vleifontein Clinic in Louis Trichardt for hours until it opened at 7 am.

Ramathuba says those responsible are being dealt with and the patient has been attended to.

“The situation made me angry but what I can indicate is that last night when I received a call from the community, it was around 7 o clock, that there is a member of the community who is seeking help, who has been denied and the first thing we had to do was to make sure that the life of the woman is safe and an ambulance dispatched immediately to go and pick up the patient,” she said.
