After leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season, their former captain Bernard Parker has signed a contract with another PSL club.

On Saturday Parker was unveiled by TS Galaxy, and will spend the 2022/2023 campaign with Sead Ramovic’s team.

Parker spent the past eleven seasons at the Amakhosi after spending three years in Europe, playing for the likes of FC Twente, FC Red Star Belgrade and MGS Panserraikos.

Galaxy will be the 36-year-old’s fifth South African club, having previously played for Hellenic, which became Benoni Premier United and in turn became Thanda Royal Zulu, before he headed overseas.

He had previously been linked with a possible move to SuperSport United, but Tim Sukazi’s club swooped in to sign the former Bafana Bafana international, who has 23 goals in 73 caps.

“We are delighted to have secured Parker’s signature. He is a valuable addition to our thin squad. He has been a loyal servant of the game for many years and has still a lot to contribute with it our set-up. His record speaks for itself and we are looking forward to great success together.” Sukazi told the club’s media department.

“I’m happy to join TS Galaxy. This is an ambitious club and I want to contribute to the club’s success,” Parker added.
