Kaizer Chiefs have officially revealed the home jersey they will wear during the 2026/27 Betway Premiership campaign. The launch marks the beginning of a new era as the Amakhosi prepare for the upcoming season in a fresh look.

The new shirt stays true to the club’s traditional gold and black colours while introducing sleek black vertical pinstripes across the front. The design also features a classic black fold-over collar, contrasting black shoulder panels and subtle textured detailing inspired by the African savannah.

The famous Kaizer Chiefs crest is positioned proudly on the left chest opposite the Kappa logo. The jersey also retains the familiar Vodacom sponsorship on the front, while Toyota branding appears on the sleeve.

The new strip combines a timeless identity with a modern aesthetic, giving supporters a jersey that reflects both the club’s history and its ambitions for the future.

KAIZER CHIEFS EXPLAIN THE DESIGN

In a statement, Kaizer Chiefs described the jersey as more than just a football kit.

“Step into the realm of royalty with the Official Kaizer Chiefs Men’s Home Jersey 2026/27. This isn’t just a kit; it’s the definitive armor of the Amakhosi nation, engineered for those who rule the stands and the streets.

“The kingdom is rising, and this season we return to the very source of our power. The iconic Gold & Black returns with a ferocious modern edge, featuring striking vertical stripes that represent the unbreakable unity of the pack and the deep, rich textures of the African savannah woven directly into the fabric.”

‘EVERY THREAD CARRIES OUR LEGACY’

The club added that the jersey symbolises both its rich history and future ambitions.

“Every thread carries the weight of our legacy; every stripe is a path forward to reclaiming our throne. Crafted for elite performance and everyday comfort, this jersey is a physical manifestation of our heritage and our future. A new dawn is here for the mighty Amakhosi – put on your armor, feel the texture of our history, and rise with the kingdom.”

Supporters can now look forward to seeing Kaizer Chiefs debut the new Kappa home jersey when the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season gets underway.
