AmaZulu head coach Brandon Truter admits he now has a plethora of attacking options and explained the absence of Dumisani Zuma from the team.
Usuthu stumbled to a 0-0 draw in their opening game of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season with Sphesihle Maduma, Gabadinho Mhango and Lehlohonolo Majoro starting up-front.
The likes of Bonginkosi Ntuli, Augustine Kwem and Dumisani Zuma were notable omissions from the starting line-up while Ethan Brooks also had to make do with a role on the bench.
But as the players regain their match fitness, Truter is ready to rotate and give those who perform in training and match days, their chances in the starting line-up.
“Ethan came back from an injury a month ago, he’s not fully fit yet, Kwem is doing well, but some passing patterns he still has to get used to,” Truter told the media.
“It’s always nice to have that kind of luxury of attackers, Dumisani [Zuma] is still out [with injury], Bongs Ntuli is not fully fit as well that’s why I feel we can do so much better.
“The front three that started [against TS Galaxy] is a very good front-three as well as individuals and a group as well, but they know they can’t afford to have bad games.”
AmaZulu face SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday for their first home league game of the new campaign.
