Loyiso Bala announces radio exit

Musician Loyiso Bala shared with South Africans that he was ending his journey as a business manager at Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM.

In a statement shared on 30 June 2026 via his Instagram account, the gospel singer described the leadership role as “stretching” and “meaningful,” while thanking colleagues, family and friends, and committed listeners for their support.

He showed appreciation to both radio station teams for their trust, commitment, and shared purpose, while writing to presenters, producers, and internal stakeholders:

“Thank you for your patience, honesty, and for buying into the assignment. At times, my way of doing things may have been unconventional, but you continued to show up, and together we were able to build moments that mattered.”

While thanking the Lord, he also dedicated the post to his wife, Jennifer Bala, and his daughters, thanking them for their constant love and support throughout his career.

“You carried me through every high and low, and I could not have done this without you.”

Finally, he addressed Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM listeners, highlighting their honesty, warmth, and loyalty to the stations. He noted that without them, there would have been no reason for him to continuously show up with his level of commitment.

Loyiso concluded, “As I leave this season, I do so with gratitude. Gratitude for the milestones reached, the lessons learned, the trust shared, and the people who made the journey worthwhile.

“Enkosi kakhulu. I still believe the best is ahead.”

South Africans wish Loyiso Bala well

While Loyiso did not share what the future holds, he received tonnes of support from fans and industry colleagues.

Expresso Morning Show host Zanele Potelwa said, “Well done, Bhuti. May God bless your journey.”

TV presenter Kayise Ngqula added, “Thank you for being an inspiration both close by and afar, Loyiso. You know that I have so much respect for your journey. All the best for the future.”

@xolisadyeshana wrote in the comments, “Well done and all the best with your next chapter, my brother.”

“You’re an absolute inspiration, Lo,” remarked @cher_murphy.
