Alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi has been denied bail for the second time by the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.
The court ruled that he failed to present new facts justifying his release.
Mogotsi, a North West controversial businessman linked to various corruption probes remains in custody.
He was arrested in May on charges including perjury and defeating the ends of justice over allegations that he staged an assassination attempt on himself in Vosloorus last year.
His case has been postponed to 8 July for a trial date, with his legal team indicating plans to appeal the latest bail decision in a higher court.
