Ncaca – It Wont Be Easy For Sundowns This Season

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gareth Ncaca has shared his views about the upcoming season after Downs’ recent dominance.

Ncaca played for Sundowns for one season between July 2009 and August 2010 after a successful move from Bay United.

The 40-year-old shared his views about Sundowns as he feels like it won’t be an easy season for them but they will still dominate the Premier Soccer League with the quality of players they have.

The former Cape Town All Stars assistant coach mentioned how important it is to have a core of the team and also the importance of having a big squad.

“I think it’s gonna be a tough season compared to last season. At the same time, Downs still has enough quality in their team [and are] a lot for teams to handle,” Gareth Ncaca told iDiski Times journalist Sinethemba Makonco.

“But I think it’s gonna be tight, it’s not gonna be like last season where they just go straight without losing games. I think this season it’s gonna be a little bit [more] difficult. But on paper, they’ve got a lot of good players.

“The biggest advantage for Downs is that they have the core of the team that has been playing together, these guys know exactly what they need to do, that’s another plus for Sundowns.

“They are not just signing players, they are signing quality players into the system. I hear a lot of people saying Sundowns is signing a lot of players but that’s not the case, they’ve got lots of games they need a big squad.”
