New Orlando Pirates striker Bievenu Eva Nga has revealed why he joined the Buccaneers during his first public interview with the club.
The 29-year-old striker impressed with 10 goals for relegation-threatened Chippa United last campaign, earning his move to Orlando Stadium during the offseason.
Many consider Eva Nga a perfect fit at the Sea Robbers and he has explained that the club’s history and professionalism were among the key reasons for his move.
“One of the things that have attracted me is the professionalism. Everything is organised and done on time,” he told the club’s media team.
“It’s something that also helps you improve in terms of discipline, because you know that you need to do things properly, you need to work hard to be a part of the starting team.
“Plus it’s a big Club in South Africa.”
Eva Nga also described his transfer as a “dream” move and says he’s ready to the ground running.
“It feels great. I am in high spirits, I can say it’s a dream come true,” he added.
“I’m very happy to be part of this big Club. I’ve had a really warm welcome from people I’ve watched and seen from the outside.
“So, I’m really happy to be here.”
Pirates start their 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign with a Soweto Derby against Swallows FC at Orlando Stadium.
Stadiums are back open to a 100% capacity and no proof of vaccination is required. Tickets can be purchased at Computicket.
