Fans show love for Kharishma after family shares health update

South African singer and Lekompo star Kharishma has once again received an outpouring of support from fans after her family shared a positive update on her recovery journey.

The beloved musician, whose real name is Melita Mogale, has been recovering following a serious car accident in late 2025. This week, her family confirmed that she has reached an advanced stage of recovery, bringing relief and hope to supporters across South Africa and beyond.

Family shares encouraging news

In an official statement, Kharishma’s family revealed that the singer continues to make significant progress during her rehabilitation.

“We wish to reiterate that Kharishma suffered serious injuries and she has since been receiving the best medical care and support to ensure that she recovers to her best self,” read the statement.

The family thanked medical professionals, loved ones and fans for the support shown throughout what has been a challenging period.

They also noted that Kharishma remains focused on her healing and is currently prioritising her health. While she is not yet active on social media, they assured supporters that updates will be shared through official channels when appropriate.

Fans flood social media with support

Following the update, fans took to social media to celebrate the encouraging news. Many shared messages of love, prayers and well wishes, expressing excitement at the prospect of seeing the star return to the spotlight in the future.

“We are happy she’s recovering,” said one X user.

Yearning for more music, another wrote: “I miss Kharishma bathong. The accident really took a toll on her, I thought that she’d be back by this time.”

“Get well soon,” added another.
