Famous BBL surgeon Dr Pert passes away

The entertainment industry is reeling from shock, following the death of the celebrity aesthetic doctor Pertunia Mathibe, who was better known as Dr Pert.

Dr Pert passed away on Wednesday, July 30, and the cause of her death remains undisclosed. Her death was confirmed in a statement issued by Dr Pert Centre for Body Sculpting on their Instagram account.

“It is with great sadness to announce the untimely passing of Dr Pert of Dr Pert Centre for Body Sculpting. We are heartbroken by this loss. She was a light to many, and her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched,” read the statement.

The renowned BBL doctor was born in Hammanskraal, Tshwane. She launched her aesthetic practice in 2017, where she worked her magic and transformed many bodies.

Dr Pert made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, as she has worked with known celebrities like Cyan Boujee and Dineo Moloisane amongst others.

Before the announcement of her death, the practice cancelled all appointments that were booked for July 31.

Dr Pert who was raised in Giyani, Limpopo, earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. According to Sunday World, she completed her internship and community service in Limpopo, and later trained in aesthetic medicine with American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Her qualification included a fellowship in liposuction and fat transfer, and a masters in high-definition liposuction.
