Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter, North, turns 13

Businesswoman and model Kim Kardashian and rapper and businessman Kanye West’s first-born, North West is turning 13 today.

The first of four siblings, North was born in 2013 at the height of her mother’s fame and the success of the Kardashian crew’s success in reality television.

Anticipation for North’s birth reached a fever pitch, driven by the global fame of her father, award-winning rapper and producer Kanye West.

At the time, Kardashian was at the tail-end of her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries, whom she was married to for only 72 days before she filed for divorce. It is between the end of the marriage and the finalisation of the divorce that Kardashian and West got together and conceived North. The couple married when North was about a year old.

North is very artistically expressive, wearing blue hair and long nails with piercings. All this has been before her 13th birthday today, which has gotten some criticism from some who feel she is too young for her edgy fashion choices and body modifications.

North is also musically inclined, having performed with her father on numerous occasions.

But she is also venturing into solo projects, like her performance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2026 following the release of her debut EP, N0rth4evr, a month ago.
