South African-born tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has officially become the world’s first-ever trillionaire.

ELON MUSK BECOMES WORLD’S FIRST TRILLIONAIRE

Elon Musk became the first individual in modern history to a generate a personal fortune exceeding a trillion dollars. This was the result of a major surge in the value of his company SpaceX. The milestone was reached after the company made a highly anticipated debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange, attracting intense investor interest and pushing its valuation to more than $2 trillion, which equates to over R32 trillion.

SpaceX’s initial public offering (IPO) was one of the largest ever recorded. This raised tens of billions of dollars before trading even began. Once shares opened on the market, they climbed significantly, reflecting strong global confidence in the company’s future prospects. Investors are particularly drawn to its expanding role in satellite communications, space travel, and emerging artificial intelligence applications.

SPACEX FORMS MOST OF ELON MUSK’S NET WORTH

Musk, who holds a substantial ownership stake in SpaceX, saw his wealth increase dramatically as a result. His holdings in the company now form the largest portion of his net worth, alongside his shares in Tesla and other ventures. This financial leap has made him the wealthiest person in the world.

Musk’s growing influence is more than just business. His financial power has enabled him to play a noticeable role in politics, particularly in the United States.

Musk is a father of 14, who he welcomed with a total of four women.
