A deeply personal body of work

Best known for her powerful voice and her role in the acclaimed gospel group Joyous Celebration, Phiri now steps forward with a deeply personal body of work shaped by years of musical growth, ministry and lived experience. The album launch is expected to draw gospel music lovers, industry peers and worship communities alike.

More than a performance, Essence of Faith is a deeply personal musical offering shaped by Phiri’s journey of faith, resilience and calling. Rooted in scripture and lived experience, the album explores themes of surrender, restoration and trust in God, reflecting both her ministry and artistic identity.

The album launch will include songs like Wangithula, a Zulu phrase meaning “God took the burden from me”, setting a reflective and spiritually grounded tone, together with her earlier single Uyalalela, the music reflects a season of personal breakthrough, where moments of hardship were met with faith and renewal. Each track is crafted to connect with audiences seeking authentic, spirit-led gospel music.
