Miss SA 2024 Mia le Roux and her fiancé Luke Ten Oever have set the date for their wedding, announced via an Instagram post on 4 June.

Mia le Roux, South Africa’s first-ever deaf woman and first differently-abled contestant to be crowned Miss SA in 2024, has revealed her wedding date. The beauty queen will be tying the knot to fiancé Luke Ten Oever on 16 October. She made the announcement via an Instagram Reel. Take a look…

“16.10.2026 🤍. The day we say ‘I DO’ 🕊️,” she wrote.

Mia and Luke have been dating since 2023. The pair announced their engagement on 8 July 2025, revealing that they had been engaged for a while but took the time to soak in the moments before sharing it with the world. Mia took to Instagram to announce the engagement with a heartfelt post dedicated to her fiancé

“The immense love, patience and sacrifice you have shown me this year has been nothing short of incredible. From the way you hold space for me with calm and steadiness in life’s tough moments, to the way we lose ourselves in laughter over the silliest things. My heart will choose you over and over again, even though you have to inspect your cricket kit for an hour first when I ask for a cup of coffee,” she wrote.

“We have been engaged for a while now and mutually agreed that we just want to enjoy our little bubble. This one moment that just belonged to us for a little while. And now we are ready to share our joy with the world,” she continued.

  • She hails from Butterworth in the Eastern Cape.
  • She was a speech therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy
  • The beauty queen is currently doing her Masters, specialising in autism.
  • She enjoys reading and fitness.
  • She is passionate about empowerment, not just for women but also boys and girls.
