Sindiso Magaqa Murder Trial Resumes as Judge Signals No Further Delays

The murder trial of former ANC Youth League Secretary-General Sindiso Magaqa resumes in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today.

Proceedings were previously delayed due to issues surrounding legal representation for one of the accused, but Judge Mluleki Chithi warned at the last appearance that the matter would proceed regardless of whether the accused had secured legal counsel.

Magaqa was fatally shot in an ambush in Umzimkhulu in 2017, and the case has faced numerous delays over the years.
