The 24-year-old son of Angelina Jolie has dropped Brad Pitt’s surname and now only goes by Maddox Chivan Jolie.
Ten years after his parents split, Maddox dropped Pitt’s surname, much like some of his other siblings did before him.
TMZ reports that he filed the paperwork to change his name formally.
His three sisters Shiloh (20), Zahara (21), and Vivienne (17), all dropped Pitt from their names.
Maddox is the oldest of Jolie’s six children.
He recently worked behind the scenes of his mother’s film Couture as a third assistant director, where his film credit did not include Pitt, according to People Magazine.
The family has become estranged over the years.
The former couple cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their divorce back in September 2016.
Pitt has since moved on. He has been romantically linked to Ines de Ramon since 2022.
Before his relationship with Jolie, which began in 2005, Pitt was famously married to Jennifer Aniston of Friends fame from 2000 to 2005. He met Jolie on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith. The two denied having connected romantically on set, as Pitt was still married to Anniston at the time.
