Zandile Khumalo Sparks Heated Debate After Sharing Details About Senzo Meyiwa’s Death, Points Finger at Mandisa Meyiwa

Zeke Elakhhe Lungelo Mngqolo popularly known as Thami Mngqolo is a South African actor, presenter and director popular for his role as Senzo Dhlomo in SABC 1’s much-loved drama Generations (Now Generations: The Legacy).

Born on September 9, 1982, Thami was born in Johannesburg where he currently resides.

Thami appeared on Generations from 2003/04 playing Senzo Dhlomo, son of Sibusiso Dhlomo and stepson of Ntombi Dhlomo.

His on-screen romance with Xolisa Xaluva’s Jason kept viewers glued to their screens on weekdays.

Thami left Generations in 2016 after he was let go with the entire cast who demanded wage increases.

It is reported that in 2008 Thami got married to actress Jo-anne Reyneke.

The two share two children together. The couple got divorced in 2018.

Speaking on the Fresh Breakfast some years back 9 months after their much-publicized separation.

“Because he is a great guy it’s very easy to be a co-parent with him. He’s a wonderful guy, a great dad, a good friend to me; he still thinks I’m funny, just that as partners it wasn’t working anymore.”

She explained: “Whenever you get to feel in a relationship like ‘maybe I deserve more’ or ‘maybe I’m not what you deserve’ it’s time to part.”

An the moment/time she realised that she needed to go, she said on the radio show:

“Maybe half a year ago, because you wanna talk yourself out of and then you hear the relationship advice that every relationship goes through – it’s ups and downs so you’re like ‘maybe this is our down’ but then you’re like no dog, no dog, I can’t, I must want to come home after work… And then also, let’s be happy for our kids, our kids deserve happy parents.”
Joanne
described their breakup process as mourning. “It was like a death in your life because you no longer have someone who’s checking up on you, who’s thinking for you more than they think for themselves. Now it’s just you by yourself thinking for these kids.”

Thami Is currently focused on his sports presenting, emceeing and directing career. Since leaving Generations he has kept a low profile.
